The 2011 National census lists 123 Nepalese languages spoken as a mother tongue (first language) in Nepal.[2] Most belong to the Indo-Aryan and Sino-Tibetan language families.
नेपाल कि आधिकारिक भाषा नेपाली हो, शुरू मी खसकुरा रे पुइ गोर्खाली भँणिन्थ्यो। सन् २०११ का जनगणना अन्सारअ नेपाली भाषी को जनसङ्ख्या लगभग ४४.६% छ।[3] मैथिली नेपाल को दोसरो सब है जेदा बोलीनेइ भाषा हो रे सन् २०११ का जनगणना अन्सारअ ११.५७% मान्सु मैथिली भाषा बोल्लान्।[4]
The official language of Nepal is Nepali, formerly called Khaskura then Gorkhali. According to the 2011 national census, the percentage of Nepali Bhasi people is about 44.6%.[3] Maithili is the second largest Nepalese language and according to 2011 Census, the percentage of Maithil people is 11.57%.[4]

Most of their languages are written using the Devanagari script including their indigenous languages.

Three quarters of the 123 languages native to Nepal belong to the Tibeto-Burman language family; this includes Nepalbhasa (Newa) (the original language of Kathmandu), the Limbu, Tamang, Magar and various sunuwar, Rai languages.
नेपाल कि आधिकारिक रे साङ्ख्यिक रूप मी महत्वपूर्ण भाषा नेपाली भाषा इण्डो-आर्यन (इण्डिक) परिवार का इण्डो-यूरोपियन हँङा मी पड़न्छे रे येइ का सङ्ङै इण्डिक भाषाअन जनसङ्ख्या का हिसाब ले ७९% ओगट्टान् भँण्या तिबेतो-बर्मन भाषाअन को १८% हिस्सा छ। यद्दपि दुएइ भाषा परिवारअन का ज्यादातर भाषाअन बोल्ल्या मान्सुउन को सङ्ख्या भौत कम छ।
However, the official and numerically most important language, Nepali, belongs to the Indo-Aryan (Indic) branch of the Indo-European family, so that Indic languages constitute 79% of the population to Tibeto-Burman's 18%, even though most languages of both families are spoken by small numbers of people.

The Dravidian languages are represented by Kurux, and the Munda languages of the Austroasiatic family by Santali and Mundari.

The indigenous languages of Nepal that predated the influx of Indic, Tibeto-Burman, and other families barely survive in the Kusunda language, which is nearly extinct today.

Nepal also has at several indigenous village sign languages, Jhankot Sign Language, Jumla Sign Language, and Ghandruk Sign Language, in addition to the Nepali Sign Language designed for national use.

Sabitra Bhandari is a Nepali footballer who plays as a forward for APF Club and represents the Nepal women's national football team.
क्लब तह मी भण्डारी एपीएफ क्लब खिलाइ खेलन्छिन्।[1] उन २० वर्षै उमर मी दक्खिन एसिया कि उत्कृष्ट महिला स्ट्राकर का रूप मी उदाइरैथिन। फेब्रुअरी २०१७ मी उन लाइ माल्दिभ्स महिला लिग मी खेल्ला खिलाइ न्युतो दीराइथ्यो।
At club level, Bhandari plays for APF Club.[1] she became the best women of striker of soth asia at the age of 20. In february 2017 she was invited to play the maldives women´s league.
भण्डारी अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर मी नेपाल को प्रतिनिधित्व अरन्छिन्। उन ले साफ महिला च्याम्पियनसिप २०१४ मी भाग लीराइथ्यो रे यिसै प्रतियोगिता मी भुटान का विरुद्ध १ गोल अरिराइथ्यो। दक्षिण एसियाली खेलकूद २०१६ मी उन ले श्रीलङ्का विरुद्ध का खेल मी २ गोल अरिराइथिन्।[2] १७ डिसेम्बर २०१६ मी राजधानी मी भया मैत्रीपूर्ण खेल मी लै आफू है २६ स्थान मल्तिर रया: बलिया राष्ट्र मलेसिया लाइ हराउने क्रम मी साबित्राइ ले निर्णायक गोल अरिराइथिन्।[3]
Bhandari represents Nepal at the international level. She participates and scores one goal against Bhutan at the 2014 SAFF Women's Championship. She represented the country during the 2016 South Asian Games, she scored two goals against Sri Lanka.[2] She scored the only goal in a friendly victory against Malaysia on 17 December 2016.[3]

Bhandari then played in Nepal's first match of the 2016 SAFF Women's Championship against Bhutan. She scored six goals as Nepal won 8–0 to open the tournament and scored 5 goals against Maldives in the 2nd group match.[4]

In 1970 BBC’s Nepali output became available five days a week, and later was made available on every day of the week. Initially, the programs were directed at British Gorkha soldiers working in Hong Kong. Later it became widely popular in the Nepali community as impartial and trustworthy news broadcasting.

योमरी पुन्हि काजबार लाइ पन्यु का दोसरा दिन मनायीन्छ जै दिन प्रार्थना अरीन्छ, येइ का दौरान योमरी लाइ संग्रहित अरिबर राख्द्या चलन छ रे येइ दिन भरि योमरी लाइ नाइखाना। चौथा रे छाड्डिबार का दिन नेवार समुदाय का मान्सअन येइ मिठा रोटि लाइ भगमान का प्रसाद का रूप मी ग्रहण अद्दान जै पछा येइ काजबार को समाप्ति लगै हुन्छ।[1]
The festival of Yomari punhi is celebrated on the second day of the full moon when prayers are offered during which the Yomaris are stored and not eaten on that very day. On the fourth and the final day the people belonging to the Newa community consume the sweet bread as a gift from gods and this practice also marks the end of the festival.[4]

Yomari, also called Yamari, is a delicacy of the Newar community in Nepal. It is a steamed dumpling that consists of an external covering of rice flour[1] and an inner content of sweet substances such as chaku. The delicacy plays a very important role in Newaa society, and is a key part of the festival of Yomari punhi.[2] According to some, the triangular shape of the yamari is a symbolical representation of one half of the shadkona, the symbol of Saraswati and wisdom.[3]

Etymology
योमरि नाउँ नेवारि भाषा का दुइ आँखर "यः" रे "मरि" बठेइ आयाः हो; "यः" को माने "मन पड़ाउनु" हन्छ भँण्या "मरि" को माने "रोटि" हन्छ। तबै शाब्दिक रूप मैं यै को मामे "मन पड्ड्या रोटि" भँण्ण्या हन्छ।
The name Yamari comes from two Newari Bhasa words, "ya:" meaning "to like" and "mari" meaning "delicacy". So, literally, it is a delicacy which is very popular.
