(trg)="b.GEN.2.11.1"> The name of the first is Pishon : this is the one which flows through the whole land of Havilah , where there is gold ;

(trg)="b.GEN.2.12.2"> There is aromatic resin and the onyx stone .
(src)="b.GEN.2.13.1"> የሁለተኛውም ወንዝ ስም ግዮን ነው ፤ እርሱም የኢትዮጵያን ምድር ሁሉ ይከብባል ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.13.1"> The name of the second river is Gihon : the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush .
(src)="b.GEN.2.14.1"> የሦስተኛውም ወንዝ ስም ጤግሮስ ነው ፤ እርሱም በአሦር ምሥራቅ የሚሄድ ነው ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.14.1"> The name of the third river is Hiddekel : this is the one which flows in front of Assyria .
(trg)="b.GEN.2.14.2"> The fourth river is the Euphrates .
(src)="b.GEN.2.15.1"> አራተኛውም ወንዝ ኤፍራጥስ ነው ። እግዚአብሔር አምላክም ሰውን ወስዶ ያበጃትም ይጠብቃትም ዘንድ በዔድን ገነት አኖረው ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.15.1"> Yahweh God took the man , and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it .
(src)="b.GEN.2.16.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም ሰውን እንዲህ ብሎ አዘዘው ። ከገነት ዛፍ ሁሉ ትበላለህ ፤
(trg)="b.GEN.2.16.1"> Yahweh God commanded the man , saying , " Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat ;
(src)="b.GEN.2.17.1"> ነገር ግን መልካምንና ክፉን ከሚያስታውቀው ዛፍ አትብላ ፤ ከእርሱ በበላህ ቀን ሞትን ትሞታለህና ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.17.1"> but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil , you shall not eat of it ; for in the day that you eat of it you will surely die . "
(src)="b.GEN.2.18.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም አለ ። ሰው ብቻውን ይሆን ዘንድ መልካም አይደለም ፤ የሚመቸውን ረዳት እንፍጠርለት ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.18.1"> Yahweh God said , " It is not good that the man should be alone ; I will make him a helper suitable for him . "
(src)="b.GEN.2.19.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም የምድር አራዊትንና የሰማይ ወፎችን ሁሉ ከመሬት አደረገ ፤ በምን ስም እንደሚጠራቸውም ያይ ዘንድ ወደ አዳም አመጣቸው ፤ አዳምም ሕያው ነፍስ ላለው ሁሉ በስሙ እንደ ጠራው ስሙ ያው ሆነ ።

(src)="b.GEN.2.21.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም በአዳም ከባድ እንቅልፍን ጣለበት ፥ አንቀላፋም ፤ ከጎኑም አንዲት አጥንትን ወስዶ ስፍራውን በሥጋ ዘጋው ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.21.1"> Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man , and he slept ; and he took one of his ribs , and closed up the flesh in its place .
(src)="b.GEN.2.22.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም ከአዳም የወሰዳትን አጥንት ሴት አድርጎ ሠራት ፤ ወደ አዳምም አመጣት ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.22.1"> He made the rib , which Yahweh God had taken from the man , into a woman , and brought her to the man .
(src)="b.GEN.2.23.1"> አዳምም አለ ። ይህች አጥንት ከአጥንቴ ናት ፥ ሥጋም ከሥጋዬ ናት ፤ እርስዋ ከወንድ ተገኝታለችና ሴት ትባል ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.23.1"> The man said , " This is now bone of my bones , and flesh of my flesh .
(trg)="b.GEN.2.23.2"> She will be called ' woman , ' because she was taken out of Man . "
(src)="b.GEN.2.24.1"> ስለዚህ ሰው አባቱንና እናቱን ይተዋል ፥ በሚስቱም ይጣበቃል ፤ ሁለቱም አንድ ሥጋ ይሆናሉ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.24.1"> Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother , and will join with his wife , and they will be one flesh .
(src)="b.GEN.2.25.1"> አዳምና ሚስቱ ሁለቱም ዕራቁታቸውን ነበሩ ፥ አይተፋፈሩም ነበር ።
(trg)="b.GEN.2.25.1"> They were both naked , the man and his wife , and were not ashamed .
(src)="b.GEN.3.1.1"> እባብም እግዚአብሔር አምላክ ከፈጠረው ከምድር አውሬ ሁሉ ይልቅ ተንኰለኛ ነበረ ። ሴቲቱንም ። በውኑ እግዚአብሔር ከገነት ዛፍ ሁሉ እንዳትበሉ አዝዞአልን ? አላት ።

(trg)="b.GEN.3.1.2"> He said to the woman , " Has God really said , ' You shall not eat of any tree of the garden ? ' "

(trg)="b.GEN.3.2.1"> The woman said to the serpent , " Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat ,
(src)="b.GEN.3.3.1"> ነገር ግን በገነት መካከል ካለው ከዛፉ ፍሬ ፥ እግዚአብሔር አለ ። እንዳትሞቱ ከእርሱ አትብሉ አትንኩትም ።
(trg)="b.GEN.3.3.1"> but of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden , God has said , ' You shall not eat of it , neither shall you touch it , lest you die . ' "

(trg)="b.GEN.3.11.2"> Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from ? "

(src)="b.GEN.3.13.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም ሴቲቱን ። ይህ ያደረግሽው ምንድር ነው ? አላት ። ሴቲቱም አለች ። እባብ አሳተኝና በላሁ ።

(trg)="b.GEN.3.13.2"> The woman said , " The serpent deceived me , and I ate . "
(src)="b.GEN.3.14.1"> እግዚአብሔር አምላክም እባቡን አለው ። ይህን ስላደረግህ ከእንስሳት ከምድር አራዊትም ሁሉ ተለይተህ አንተ የተረገምህ ትሆናለህ ፤ በሆድህም ትሄዳለህ ፥ አፈርንም በሕይወትህ ዘመን ሁሉ ትበላለህ ።

(trg)="b.GEN.3.19.1"> By the sweat of your face will you eat bread until you return to the ground , for out of it you were taken .
(trg)="b.GEN.3.19.2"> For you are dust , and to dust you shall return . "
(src)="b.GEN.3.20.1"> አዳምም ለሚስቱ ሔዋን ብሎ ስም አወጣ ፥ የሕያዋን ሁሉ እናት ናትና ።

(trg)="b.GEN.4.3.1"> As time passed , it happened that Cain brought an offering to Yahweh from the fruit of the ground .
(src)="b.GEN.4.4.1"> አቤልም ደግሞ ከበጎቹ በኵራትና ከስቡ አቀረበ ። እግዚአብሔርም ወደ አቤልና ወደ መሥዋዕቱ ተመለከተ ፤
(trg)="b.GEN.4.4.1"> Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat .
(trg)="b.GEN.4.4.2"> Yahweh respected Abel and his offering ,
(src)="b.GEN.4.5.1"> ወደ ቃየንና ወደ መሥዋዕቱ ግን አልተመለከተም ። ቃየንም እጅግ ተናደደ ፊቱም ጠቆረ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.5.1"> but he did n't respect Cain and his offering .
(trg)="b.GEN.4.5.2"> Cain was very angry , and the expression on his face fell .
(src)="b.GEN.4.6.1"> እግዚአብሔርም ቃየንን አለው ። ለምን ተናደድህ ? ለምንስ ፊትህ ጠቆረ ?
(trg)="b.GEN.4.6.1"> Yahweh said to Cain , " Why are you angry ?
(trg)="b.GEN.4.6.2"> Why has the expression of your face fallen ?
(src)="b.GEN.4.7.1"> መልካም ብታደርግ ፊትህ የሚበራ አይደለምን ? መልካም ባታደርግ ግን ኃጢአት በደጅ ታደባለች ፤ ፈቃድዋም ወደ አንተ ነው ፥ አንተ ግን በእርስዋ ንገሥባት ።

(src)="b.GEN.4.8.1"> ቃየንም ወንድሙን አቤልን ። ና ወደ ሜዳ እንሂድ አለው ። በሜዳም ሳሉ ቃየን በወንድሙ በአቤል ላይ ተነሣበት ፥ ገደለውም ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.8.1"> Cain said to Abel , his brother , " Let 's go into the field . "
(trg)="b.GEN.4.8.2"> It happened when they were in the field , that Cain rose up against Abel , his brother , and killed him .
(src)="b.GEN.4.9.1"> እግዚአብሔርም ቃየንን አለው ። ወንድምህ አቤል ወዴት ነው ? እርሱም አለ ። አላውቅም ፤ የወንድሜ ጠባቂው እኔ ነኝን ?
(trg)="b.GEN.4.9.1"> Yahweh said to Cain , " Where is Abel , your brother ? "
(trg)="b.GEN.4.9.2"> He said , " I do n't know .
(trg)="b.GEN.4.9.3"> Am I my brother 's keeper ? "
(src)="b.GEN.4.10.1"> አለውም ። ምን አደረግህ ? የወንድምህ የደሙ ድምፅ ከምድር ወደ እኔ ይጮኻል ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.10.1"> Yahweh said , " What have you done ?
(trg)="b.GEN.4.10.2"> The voice of your brother 's blood cries to me from the ground .
(src)="b.GEN.4.11.1"> አሁንም የወንድምህን ደም ከእጅህ ለመቀበል አፍዋን በከፈተች በምድር ላይ አንተ የተረገምህ ነህ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.11.1"> Now you are cursed because of the ground , which has opened its mouth to receive your brother 's blood from your hand .
(src)="b.GEN.4.12.1"> ምድርንም ባረስህ ጊዜ እንግዲህ ኃይልዋን አትሰጥህም ፤ በምድርም ላይ ኰብላይና ተቅበዝባዥ ትሆናለህ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.12.1"> From now on , when you till the ground , it wo n't yield its strength to you .
(trg)="b.GEN.4.12.2"> You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth . "
(src)="b.GEN.4.13.1"> ቃየንም እግዚአብሔርን አለው ። ኃጢአቴ ልሸከማት የማልችላት ታላቅ ናት ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.13.1"> Cain said to Yahweh , " My punishment is greater than I can bear .
(src)="b.GEN.4.14.1"> እነሆ ዛሬ ከምድር ፊት አሳደድኸኝ ፤ ከፊትህም እሰወራለሁ ፤ በምድርም ላይ ኰብላይና ተቅበዝባዥ እሆናለሁ ፤ የሚያገኘኝም ሁሉ ይገድለኛል ።

(trg)="b.GEN.4.14.2"> I will be hidden from your face , and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth .

(src)="b.GEN.4.15.1"> እግዚአብሔርም እርሱን አለው ። እንግዲህ ቃየንን የገደለ ሁሉ ሰባት እጥፍ ይበቀልበታል ። እግዚአብሔርም ቃየንን ያገኘው ሁሉ እንዳይገድለው ምልክት አደረገለት ።

(src)="b.GEN.4.19.1"> ላሜሕም ለራሱ ሁለት ሚስቶችን አገባ ፤ የአንዲቱ ስም ዓዳ ፥ የሁለተኛይቱ ስም ሴላ ነበረ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.19.1"> Lamech took two wives : the name of the one was Adah , and the name of the other Zillah .
(src)="b.GEN.4.20.1"> ዓዳም ያባልን ወለደች ፤ እርሱም በድንኳን የሚቀመጡት የዘላኖች አባት ነበረ ።
(trg)="b.GEN.4.20.1"> Adah gave birth to Jabal , who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock .
