The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
Mɛdídá nɔ́ ɖo wu yi nú hwɛjijɔnɔ wɛ, bó nɔ́ ɖo hwenu e é ná mɔ tɛn ɖo wǔ tɔn bó hu i é ba wɛ.

O dwellers of the earth!

has a believer with an unbeliever?"
Enyi Klisanwun ɖé na bo tlɛ ɖi nǔ nú fínfɔ́n sín kú ɔ, é nyla ɖɔ é ni nɔ aluwɛ mɛ wɛ à?

He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever.
É nɔ ná nǔɖuɖu mɛ e nɔ ɖó sísí n'i lɛ́ɛ, é nɔ́ flín akɔ e é jɛ xá togun tɔn é tɛgbɛ.

Called Out of Darkness.

"Blessed are those who do not see, and believe."
Nǔ nyɔ́ nú mɛ e ma mɔ ǎ, bó ka ɖi nǔ lɛ́ɛ."

And also our forefathers (who died before us)?
Hlacɛ́li kpódó Lěya kpó yí gbe n'i bó ɖɔ: "Nǔɖé sɔ́ kpo nú mǐ ɖo tɔ́ mǐtɔn xwé fí wɛ a?

But Love the You that He created.

"Shall we bring forth water for you from this rock?"
Mǐ nǎ sixú kpé wú bó ɖe sin tɔ́n sín só élɔ́ mɛ nú mi a?"

By people who are scared of you,
Mɛ lɛ na bo dó xɛsi we hǔn,

Then it will be said to them, 'This is what you used to [d]reject.'
Nya we lɛ́ɛ ɖɔ n'i ɖɔ: "Akpá e a byɔ́ mǐ, bɔ mǐ dó nú we ɔ́, lě e mǐ ná ɖe gbɔn ɔ́ ɖíe:

They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them.
Yě sɔ́ vívá kún nú togun lɛ́ɛ lě e Mawu Mavɔmavɔ zɔ́n gbɔn é ǎ.

His sons had seen the way taken by the man of God who had come from Judah.
Vǐ lɛ́ɛ ká mɔ ali e gbeyíɖɔ Mawu tɔn e gosín Judáa wá ɔ́ gbɔn é.

to suffer for righteousness than for unrighteousness.)
Mɔmɔ‐rɛ abono mɛ ti wolaa kyu ɔmɔ-nyoro too Yesu so mɔ kyu dabɔlɛ mɔ, anyen abono mɛ bo mɔmɔ dɔ mɔ gɛgyɔnɔ gɛ gyɛ nwɛ ikue-inyɔ de saalaa.

God said to Adam, "The day you eat of the fruit of this tree you will die."

{And, verily, Jonah was one of the Messengers.

Fear God with regard to what you have been entrusted.[31]
Mɛ e nɔ sí we lɛ́ɛ ɔ́, hwi wɛ nɔ ná nǔ e nyí yětɔn ɔ́ yě.

and be careful of (your duty to) Allah and know that Allah sees
Kpɔ lé àzan ao Bibla do keŋ akpɔ Mawu Nyɔ kpukpuiwo.

You are the apostle."
Wɛn énɛ́ má nyí wɛn e a yi dó ɔ́, é ná nyɔ́ nú we nɛ́!"

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Só lɛ́ɛ nɔ́ sínsín aɖuwa ɖɔhun ɖo Mawu Mavɔmavɔ nukɔn, ɖo Aklúnɔ ayǐkúngban ɔ́ tɔn nukɔn.

You will have to speak the truth."
Énɛ́ ɔ́, un ná tunwun ɖɔ xó nǔgbó ɖɔ wɛ mi ɖe, bɔ mi sɔ́ ná kú ǎ."

"And Ornan turned back, and saw the ANGEL; and his four sons with him hid themselves [as today's people sometimes do when they see flying saucers, UFOs, the ANGELS of GOD, hovering above them; these are not from some other planet, but from Heaven!].
Ɔnáni ɖo jinukún tɔn fún wɛ, bó lílɛ́ bó mɔ wɛnsagun Mawu tɔn ɔ́; ée é mɔ mɔ̌ ɔ́, é kpó vǐ tɔn ɛnɛ lɛ́ɛ kpó hɔn hwlá.

for You, O Lord, when You were pleased, made [me] firm as a mighty mountain.
Mawu Mavɔmavɔ, ɖo xomɛnyínyɔ́ towe mɛ ɔ́, a sɔ́ mì jínjɔ́n ayǐ, bɔ un lí dǒ só ɖɔhun.

And thus he did to all the cities of the Ammonites.

Indeed,I have been of the wrongdoers.
Un wa ɖagbe nú yě ɔ́, nyanya wɛ yě nɔ́ dó sú axɔ́ mì.

So, will God not grant justice to His elect [i.e., His people] who call out to Him [i.e., in prayer] day and night?
Enyi nǔ ɖò mɔ̌ ɔ, nɛ̌ wɛ Mawu ma ka na yawu gbò hwɛ nú ye mɛ e nyí étɔn, bo nɔ ɖò xó sú ylɔ ɛ wɛ zǎn kéze lɛ ǎ gbɔn?

What we do know is that God sends angels to do His bidding.
Amɔ̌, nǔ e mǐ tuùn é wɛ nyí ɖɔ Mawu nɔ zán wɛnsagun tɔn lɛ dó d'alɔ gbɛtɔ́ lɛ ɖò gbigbɔ lixo.

The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Só lɛ́ɛ nɔ́ sínsín aɖuwa ɖɔhun ɖo Mawu Mavɔmavɔ nukɔn, ɖo Aklúnɔ ayǐkúngban ɔ́ tɔn nukɔn.

He was raised from the dead."
È ko wlan ɖɔ Klisu na fɔ́n sín kú.'

Problem: God Himself said to Adam, "In the day that you eat of it you shall surely die" (Gen. 2:17).
Mawu ɖɔ nú Adamu ɖɔ: "Gbè e gbè a na ɖu ɔ, a na kú." - BǏBƐ̌MƐ 2:17

God adopted him as his son.
Mawu yí gbè ɖɔ é nyí vǐ emitɔn

LOVE (For God and others),
Énɛ́ ɔ́, Mawu kpó gbɛtɔ́ lɛ́ɛ kpó ná yí wǎn nú we, bó ná mɔ ɖɔ hwi nɔ lin tamɛ kpɔ́n ganjí.

Laban said, "This pile of stones is a witness between you and me today."
Labáan ɖɔ: "Awǐnnya nɛ́ lɛ́ɛ e è bɛ̌ kplé ɔ́ ɖe kúnnu nú hwi kpódó nyɛ kpó égbé."

You have performed them all in wisdom.
A bló nǔ enɛ bǐ kpo nǔnywɛ kpo.

In a landmark book,
Le Livre bleu,

It does not prove anything; it is just a warning sign.
É ɖésú wɛ nyí wěziza ɔ́ ǎ; lo ɔ́, é wá, bó ná ɖe kúnnu nú wěziza ɔ́.

Thus he did to all the cities of the children of Ammon.

For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He sees all his steps.

But God is the Judge; He puts down one and lifts up another," he said.

Seven [times] in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy
Un nɔ xomlá we azɔn tɛ́nwe gbe ɖokpó, ɖó hwɛ jlɔ́jlɔ́ e a ɖɔ lɛ́ɛ wú.

A little to the righteous is better than the abundance of many wicked.
Nǔ kpɛ e ɖo hwɛjijɔnɔ sí ɔ́, nyɔ́ hú wɔ̌buwɔ́bú e ɖo mɛdídá lɛ́ɛ bǐ sí é.

But now I will go up the mountain to the Lord; maybe I can get him to forgive your sins."
Din ɔ́, un ná lɛ́ kɔ yi Mawu Mavɔmavɔ gɔ́n ɖo só ɔ́ jí; afɔ nyɔ́ ɔ́, é sixú yí gbe nú vosisa ce lɛ́ɛ, bó sɔ́ hwɛ mitɔn lɛ́ɛ kɛ mi."

blessed upon earth, and deliver him not to the will of his enemies."
Nǔ nɔ́ nyɔ́ n'i ɖo ayǐkúngban jí fí; é nɔ́ jó e nú kɛntɔ́ tɔn lɛ́ɛ, bɔ yě nɔ́ zé e dó wa nǔ e jló yě ɔ́ ná ǎ.
